Existencia de diques y tobas volcánicas relacionadas con la asociación alcalino-carbonatítica de Fuerteventura (Islas Canarias)

Abstract

In this work, the existence of volcanic tuffs and dykes related to the alkaline-carbonatitic association is, for the first time, revealed. The characteristics of the fragmentary materials, the possible processes involved in their genesis, and their relationships with the associated dykes are all described. Additionally, preliminary data on their mineralogical and geochemical composition are supplied, which demonstrate the existence of a close compositional relationship between the volcanic set and the more profoundly consolidated rocks belonging to the akaline-carbonatitic association
