Abstract

In February 1 999lh an earthquake near the city of Mula (Murcia, SE Spain) happened with 4,8 magnitude.

Later, occurred more earthquakes, the main of them in May, with 3,0 magnitude. In epicentral zone there are termal springs with special hydrochemical characteristics, related with the presence of important regional faults. This work discusses possible alterations of groundwater physico-chemical parameters caused by these earthquakes. Oscilations in concentrations have been observed, mainly in sulphate
