| dc.description.abstract | In rocky substratum of Oviedo (N Spain) there is an important carbonate formation of Upper Cretaceous age. This level has interest into applied geology on having supposed a surface of preferential foundation for city buildings and, in fact, mechanical laboratory tests show that its geotechnical behavior is very good.
