Academias literarias en Sevilla : 1665, 1666, y 1667

Abstract

La aparición de una nueva academia literaria sevillana de 1666 ha permitido hacer por primera vez un análisis general y más detallado de este fenómeno tan común e imprescindible en la Sevilla de los últimos Austrias. Con las tres academias sevillanas hasta ahora localizadas (1665, 1666 y 1667) se entienden mejor los mecanismos de su organización interna y la carrera literaria de los poetas que participaron en ella, quienes reunidos en torno a la figura de Fernando de la Torre Farfán configuraron el núcleo más activo del campo literario sevillano de finales del seiscientos.

The appearance of a new Sevillian literary academy from 1666 has allowed us to make, for the first time, a global and more detailed analysis of this phenomenon, so common and important in the Seville of the latest Austrians. With the three Sevillian academies localized (1665, 1666, and 1667) we can better understand the mechanisms of their inner organization and the literary career of the poets who took part in them. They all, gathered around Fernando de la Torre Farfán, became the most active group in Seville’s literary field at the end of the XVIIth Century.
