El autor, después de unas consideraciones generales sobre el uso de la prensa en la escuela, centra su colaboración en el trabajo concreto realizado con alumnos de 6º de Primaria. Tres son las líneas de trabajo planteadas; en primer lugar, la realización de fichas dentro de la actividad de «planes de trabajo personal» que quincenalmente se llevaban a cabo; en segundo lugar, el uso de algunas informaciones periódicas: cambio de moneda, temperaturas, cuadros estadísticos para trabajar aspectos matemáticos; y en tercer lugar, el trabajo con noticias o informes relacionados con las Ciencias Sociales y Naturales (y directamente relacionados con los temas de la programación anual) para actualizarlos y completarlos.
The author, after some general considerations about the use of press in school, focuses its collaboration on a project done with students from the 6th year of Primary Education. There are three lines of approach for this project: in the first place, the development of sheets in the activity of “personal working plans” which are carried out biweekly; in second place, the use of some newspaper information: currency exchange, temperatures, statistical tables to work on mathematical aspects; and in the third place, working on news or reports related with Social and Natural Sciences (and directly related with annual programming topics) in order to update and complete them.
