Se han cumplido 30 años de la aparición en España del primer manual sobre economía mundial con un enfoque estructural. El libro de José Luis Sampedro y Rafael Martínez Cortina "Estructura Económica, Teoría básica y estructura mundial". (Ed. Ariel. Barcelona, 1969 y varias ediciones posteriores) constituye hoy un clásico de la literatura económica española y fue en el decenio de los setenta y parte de los ochenta obra de consulta y de estudio en la formación de miles de estudiantes de economía de la mayoría de las Universidades españolas. Por su frescura intelectual y actualidad se reproducen los epígrafes "la transición hacia el desarrollo" y "el subdesarrollo como dependencia y marginación, del capítulo Estructura y Desarrollo de dicho libro, debido a la pluma del maestro José Luis Sampedro. al que la REM quiere rendir sincero homenaje.________________________________________________________________________ There have been 30 years since the publication in Spain of the first manual about World Economy with structural focus. "Economical Structure, Basic Theory and World Structure" by José Luis Sampedro 5 Rafael Martínez Cortiña (Ariel, Barcelona, 1969 and other editions) is mowadays a classic of the spanish economical literatura and it was in the 70's and part of the 80's a book of reference for the education of thousands of students of Economics in most of the spanish Universities. Because of its intelectual freshness and current importance, "the transition toward development" and "the underdevelopment like dependence and exclusion" are transcribed in the following lines, from the chap-ter Structure and Development of that book, due to the pen of professor José Luis Sampedro, whom REM wants to pay a sincere homage to.
