En este artículo los autores reflexionan sobre la diversidad que caracteriza y define a los alumnos y alumnas de los centros en cuanto factores personales, culturales, sociales, etc., sobre la necesidad de asumirla y contemplarla si estamos haciendo planteamientos sobre una educación que se debe transformar y debe evolucionar. Se resalta el valor de la diversidad como una realidad que obliga a modificar actuaciones, que invita a que se produzcan cambios en los centros y que en definitiva es una invitación para la consecución de una finalidad común: lograr centros más eficaces y mejores para todos y todas; este será el principal reto de la educación en el futuro.
