La educación intercultural : propuesta de intervención

Abstract

Con este artículo se pretende invitar a la reflexión sobre una situación real, cotidiana y emergente, como es el aumento de culturas, razas, religiones que comparten el espacio físico en el que vivimos. Fruto de la crisis de los mercados dominantes, la sociedad en general entra en un proceso de transformación. Conceptos como mundialización, globalización, tecnologías de la información y de la comunicación han tenido sus efectos sobre la sociedad y sobre los menos favorecidos socialmente, pero también está teniendo sus efectos en los centros de educación. Conceptualmente analizamos las diferencias entre una educación multicultural e intercultural y nos posicionamos del lado de la segunda al considerarla más enriquecedora. Por último, se desarrolla una propuesta de intervención desde el Departamento de Orientación para llevar acabo una visión intercultural del currículum, como respuesta de atención a la diversidad.

The purpose of this article is, above all, to call on to reflect about a real, daily and growing situation: the elevation of the number of cultures, races and religions with which we share our land. As a result of the crisis of the dominant markets, society in general goes into a process of transformation. Concepts such as globalisation, information and communication technologies have had their effect on society and on those less socially favoured, but also on the centres of education. The concepts of multicultural and intercultural education are analysed and the author favours the second which is considered richer. Finally, a proposal is made in order that the Orientation Departments could carry out an intercultural view of the curriculum, as an answer to the attention to diversity.
