El presente trabajo tiene como objeto el análisis de un fragmento de zócalo con decoración pintada de tema geométrico descubierto en el transcurso de las excavaciones realizadas en Niebla (Huelva) y desarrolladas en el marco del Proyecto de Arqueología Urbana de la Ciudad de Niebla. El estudio se apoya en gran medida en las investigaciones realizadas sobre otro fragmento de pintura hallado en el Patio del Yeso del Alcázar de Sevilla, con el que el zócalo de Niebla presenta asombrosas conexiones técnicas, formales y estilísticas. Se hace una valoración conjunta de ambas manifestaciones, poniendo en relación su estructura geométrica básica con la de otros zócalos hispanomusulmanes._______________________The object of the present work is the
study of a painted socle discovered
in the course of the excavations
carried out in Niebla (Huelva) and
developed within the framework of
the Project of Urban Archaeology of
the City of Niebla. The study leans to
a great extent in the investigations of
another painting fragment found in
Patio del Yeso of Seville, with which
the socle of Niebla presents amazing
connections in relation to the
technique, form and style. A joint
valuation of both manifestations is
made, putting in relation its basic
geometric structure with another
Hispanic-muslim socles.
