Traperos de Emaús : economía circular… y solidaria

Abstract

La experiencia de Traperos en Huelva -el grupo más meridional de Emaús Europa- es un ejemplo de lo que puede suponer la Economía Circular. Una historia que surge desde la necesidad y el encuentro colectivo: un grupo de personas de origen muy diverso -desde la universidad hasta la calle, desde Senegal hasta Rumanía, desde la exclusión social hasta el trabajo estable- que se conocieron y decidieron iniciar esta experiencia en Huelva. Desde entonces han gestionado unas 200 toneladas de material que iba a ir a los vertederos, logrando poner en reutilización aproximadamente la mitad de esos materiales.

The experience of Traperos in Huelva, the most southern group of Emmaus Europe, is an example of how the Circular Economy could be in the future. This story arises from necessity and because of an encounter between people with very different backgrounds (from the university to the streets, from Senegal to Romania, from social exclusion to stable work...) who met and decided to start this experience in Huelva. Since then, they have managed about 200 tons of material destined for landfills, achieving to reuse approximately half of these materials.
