The overall geological structure of the area can be related to a rollover, with the master fault located at the boundary between the Tramuntana range and the Alcudia basin. We relate the different dunes arrangement with the different rate of subsidence among the two areas: in S'Albufera, parabolic dunes can't propagate landwards because a swampy area exists due to major subsidence related with the rollover development, whereas in sa Marineta, because of the minor subsidence, parabolic dunes prograde SSW landwards}, publisher = {Sociedad Geológica de España}, keywords = {Dunefield}, keywords = {Morphology}, keywords = {Wind velocity distribution}, keywords = {Vegetation cover}, keywords = {Subsidence}, title = {Características geomorfológicas del sistema dunar de la Bahía de Alcudia (isla de Mallorca)}, title = {Geomorphological characteristics of the dunar system at the Alcudia Bay (Mallorca Island)}, author = {Gelabert, B. and Servera, J. and Rodríguez Perea, A.}, }
