abstract = {El conjunto de las políticas macroeconómicas desarrolladas por la Unión Europea (UE) desde la entrada en vigor del euro (coordinación de políticas, fiscal, monetaria) han mostrado una tendencia marcadamente restrictiva. Por otra parte, la UE ha puesto en marcha una política de empleo dirigida a la creación de puestos de trabajo con una clara orientación de oferta. El artículo analiza con profundidad como se han ejecutado las políticas macroeconómicas y como éstas han restringido el crecimiento económico y por consiguiente la capacidad de crear empleo. _____________________________________The macroeconomic policies undertaken in the European Union (EU) since the creation of the Monetary Union have had a restrictive orientation. At the same time, the European Union has approached employment policies at the supranational level from a clear supply oriented perspective with the aim of increasing employment rates. This article analyses how macroeconomic policies have been implemented and how their characteristics have jeopardized the potential to grow and to create jobs in the EU.},
