abstract = {After printing the sheets: Other lives of the Book in the Printing Press through two illustrative
examples.
At the printing presses of the Sixteenth and Seventeenth Centuries the books could still
be modified even when its sheets had been definitively printed. Insertions, substitutions,
partial reprints, amendments made by hand or even the erratum were diverse instruments
to change the text. Two extraordinary examples of some of these procedures are found
in La Araucana by Alonso de Ercilla and in the Guzmán de Alfarache by Mateo Alemán.},
