abstract = {The aim of this paper is to enlighten the alleged need of epistemology of social work.
This has lead, I claim, to the social work to go along wrong ways. I analyse three issues.
First, I address the difference between two types of knowledge. Second, I study the relation
description/production of social reality out from the sociological view of distinction between
constatative and performative uses of language. Finally, I suggest some sociological motives
behind the alleged epistemological need of social work and I show the character of the
constructs offers by the intelligentsia to the social workers.},
