abstract = {El Golfo de Cádiz se encuentra sobre el límite de las placas Euroasiática y Africana, caracterizado por un régimen de convergencia oblicua NO-SE. En este trabajo se estudia la deformación de la cobertera sedimentaria sobre el sector nororiental del prisma de acreción del Golfo de Cádiz (PAGC), caracterizado por intrusiones de diapiros arcillosos y salinos. Este estudio analiza la distribución de los diapiros arcillosos y su relación con estructuras que afectan al relleno sedimentario suprayacente, desde el Mioceno Medio hasta el presente. Utilizando líneas sísmicas multicanal comerciales 2D y cuatro sondeos petrolíferos, se han identificado tres unidades sismoestratigráficas sobre el PAGC (Pleistoceno, Plioceno y Mioceno Medio-Superior). Se presenta un mapa estructural con fallas normales de crecimiento asociadas pendiente abajo con diapiros arcillosos y cubetas sinclinales SSO-NNE, según un régimen de deformación desde el Mioceno Medio de transpresión izquierda y deslizamiento gravitacional sobre el PAGC},
abstract = {The Gulf of Cádiz is situated over the Eurasian-African plate boundary, which is characterized by an oblique NW-SE convergence. This work examines the deformation of the sedimentary cover on the northeastern sector of the accretionary wedge of the Gulf of Cadiz (AWGC), characterized by shale and salt diapirs. We analyze the distribution of shale diapirs and the rrelationship with structures affecting the supra-AWGC sedimentary sequence from the Middle Miocene to present. Using commercial multi-channel 2D seismic lines and four oil wells, we have identified three seismic-stratigraphic units above the PAGC (Pleistocene, Pliocene and Middle-Upper Miocene). It is presented a structural map with growth normal faults associated downslope with SSW-NNE shale diapirs and troughs. The overall structure is probably formed by a left-lateral transpression deformation since the Middle Miocene with gravitational gliding above the AWGC},
