Joaquina Castillo-Algarra, PhD. Department of Sociology and Social Work (University of Huelva, Spain). Member of these research groups: “Social Studies and Social intervention”, the Centre for Research in Contemporary Thought and Innovation for Social Development (COIDESO) and the “Seminary of Gender Studies”. Her main research interests are integration of groups at risk of social exclusion, mainly prison population, and gender, focusing on sport as a tool for education and socialisation. Castillo-Algarra has participated in national and international researches on these areas and has published extensively on these issues.
